Position Overview

Line Cooks at Jed’s BBQ & Brew are responsible for preparing high-quality menu items while maintaining food safety and kitchen cleanliness standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring food is prepared accurately and delivered to guests in a timely manner.

Line cooks work closely with other kitchen team members to maintain an organized and efficient kitchen environment, especially during busy service periods. The ideal candidate takes pride in food quality, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a team.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

  • Strong attention to detail and food quality

  • Ability to follow kitchen procedures and recipes

  • Team-oriented mindset

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work near heat sources

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen or food service experience

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

  • Experience working on a service line during peak hours

Responsibilities

  • Prepare menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards

  • Maintain food safety and sanitation procedures

  • Keep workstations clean and organized

  • Work efficiently during busy service periods

  • Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation

  • Monitor ingredient levels and notify management when supplies run low

  • Assist with food prep tasks as needed
